HYPER-

COAGULOPATHIES

The hypercoagulopathic disorders are the casue of significant morbidity and mortality, yet they remian underappreciated and misunderstood by most physicians.  Their main complications that are well publicized are miscarriages and major thrombotic and embolic events.  However, they are also the cause of significant soft tissue pathology, chronic ulcers, non-healing wounds, and unexpected complications of trauma and surgery.  They also cause complications of immunopathic and other diseases, complications often erroneously attributed to the immune disorder per se.  The following resources detail the soft tissue complications and pathology of these disorders.

There are currently three resources online, with more pending.
